How Do You Choose Your First Ball Python?

Your first snake doesn't need to have the rarest genetics. It doesn't need to be the most expensive.
And you definitely don't need to understand every ball python gene before choosing one.
Start with the animal. Ask yourself:
Do I love how this snake looks?
Pick an animal you're genuinely excited to own and enjoy.
Am I comfortable with the price?
There are beautiful ball pythons available at many different price points.
Am I looking primarily for a pet?
If so, you don't necessarily need to pay for genetics that are valuable primarily for breeding.
Do I want to breed someday?
