ARS Heat Mat with Built-In Thermostat
Provides safe belly heat for proper digestion and temperature regulation. The built-in thermostat helps keep the warm side controlled, making the setup easier and safer for new keepers.

If you’re bringing home your first ball python, this kit takes the guesswork out of setup. You’ll have the main supplies ready before your snake arrives, which means less stress for you and a smoother transition for your new animal.

We still recommend having a temperature gun or digital thermometer/hygrometer on hand so you can monitor your warm side, cool side, and humidity levels.

Habitat Size Note

This 18"x12"x12" habitat is best suited for hatchling and juvenile ball pythons. As your snake grows, it will eventually need a larger long-term enclosure.

For adult ball pythons, we recommend upgrading to a larger PVC rack system or PVC habitat that gives them more room to stretch, explore, and thrive.

Suggested Setup

Warm side: approximately 88–92°F
Cool side: approximately 76–80°F
Humidity: approximately 55–70%, with higher humidity during shed cycles

Always monitor your enclosure temperatures and humidity after setup and before adding your snake.
